Requirements: l A Bachelor’s or degree or equivalent qualification (a postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage) l A broad knowledge and understanding of the Criminal Justice System and the relevant policy environment l At least five years’ executive management and project management experience l At least five years’ experience in personnel and resource management l Extensive experience in a monitoring and evaluation role in the public sector

Duties: l Monitor and evaluate the performance of the South African Police Service against policy and mandated directives, report on findings and provide recommendations l Develop an annual strategic plan for the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit of the Secretariat l Develop tools and methodologies to support the Monitoring and Evaluation projects l Provide reports on SAPS compliance with policy, its impact on service delivery and its resource management l Develop budgets and manage finance of the Monitoring and Evaluation programmes with Provincial Secretariats l Perform any other duties as may assigned by the Secretary for Police.
